WE REAP WHAT WE SOW

So you know your a true city dude when planting a garden is a complete and total spiritual experience!! Seriously...I am witnessing a miracle daily!! We have loved seeing our seeds sprout!! All of our hard work is paying off. My boys love their new job of watering the garden. We have a friend that helped me understand a bit about Square foot gardening...I still know very little but what a fun experience for a first time gardener!!! And what a HOOT watching where the seeds are sprouting since the boys kinda sprinkled it here and there! We did end up planting corn in the earth instead of the grow box, and also our pumpkins! I even threw in a few sun flowers, as it reminded me of my mom. I remember one summer how amazed I was as we pulled them out and added a little salt then roasted them. We always had a big garden, and I did help some, and I do have fond memories of going to garden with my mom. But I don't think I appreciate the miracle until now. Little late for the birds and the bee's talk! LOL
